Description

We're currently looking at an issue affecting part of our email systems. A database server is currently out of synchronization preventing access for some users.

[resolved] We have identified the cause of this issue and with no further repeats, we're marking this issue as resolved.

[monitoring] Mercury email is now fully functional.

We are closely monitoring the associated database cluster.

[unresolved] Essential maintenance been carried out this morning.

[monitoring] This issue should now be corrected and email functioning once more.

The failure of the synchronization of the database cluster will have issued a temporary failure notice to connecting ISPs. This means they will have bee instructed to re-queue and resend email from during this error period. Individual ISPs may of course differ slightly.

We will keep the status of the case in monitoring through to Wednesday.
