Xenserve10 Down (server10.xenserve.com)

Description

Update at 13:15:35(GMT): This status post has now been resolved.



Update at 15:12:13(GMT): We have had a further outage of xenserve10, but thankfully has been resolved much faster than before.

These outages appear to be related to power maintenance that is being performed by the data centre themselves. We will be investigating how best to mitigate a similar problem again in the future.


Update at 12:37:28(GMT): The server is now back up again, all services running. Background file system checks are running, as are precautionary checks of all databases.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this outage. We'll continue to monitor this machine for a short while.


Update at 12:29:11(GMT): The Engineer is on-site and we're working to resolve the problem with server10.xenserve.com as soon as possible.


We're aware of the outage affecting Resellers on server10.xenserve.com.

The machine is not reachable remotely and we have called an Engineer to attend on-site.

We will update with any further details as and when we can.

Update at 13:15:19(GMT): This status post has now been resolved.



Update at 10:43:39(GMT): This should be resolved now. We'll keep an eye on it throughout the day, however.


One of the systems that works as part of the Atmail webmail is currently offline, we're working to restore service ASAP.

This will not directly affect all customers, but only those where their DNS resolvers have returned the address for webmail2. In the mean time, webmail1.34sp.com is working.

Update at 19:13:47(GMT): We are comfortable that this server is now running smoothly again.



Update at 15:57:24(GMT): Server3 is now back up and running once again. We will keep an eye on the machine for a short while.

The current understanding is that there was a massive surge in memory/swap usage that caused the system to lock-up.


Currently, server3/xenserve3 is down unexpectedly.

At present we are waiting for it to perform file system sanity checks and hope to see all services restored soon.

LINX Peering Network Issues (N/A)

Update at 01:51:26(GMT): The issues with LINX appear to have stabilised.



At present the LINX peering backbone are having 'issues'.

Whilst 34SP.com do not peer with LINX directly, almost all of our transit providers do.

If you believe you are having issues accessing 34SP.com hosted services, please ensure that other services are not also affected before contacting 34SP.com Technical Support, as this may well be out of our hands.

If you are indeed experiencing issues as a result of the on-going troubles at LINX, please contact your Internet Service Provider (BT, Virgin Media, etc.)

We will post updates as soon as they are available.
