Update at 12:28:22(GMT): We have now added to our mail server array so these issues should no loger recur.



We have experienced some server failures in the customer facing part of our email server array. As a result, the remaining servers are currently operating under a higher load than usual.

We are in the process of commissioning additional servers to add to the array to spread the load and expect this to be complete soon.

In the meantime, you may occasionally see connections to your email server dropping or failing. Please wait a couple of minutes and try again.

No email will be lost as a result of this problem.

An essential software update requires a quick reboot of the above servers. We expect all servers to be back up in 10-15 minutes.

Server3,5 and 9.xenserve.com all stopped responding and could not be remotely administered.
Engineers are currently performing an emergency reboot on the 3 servers listed above. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

DNS issues (Multiple)

Description

Update at 13:15:05(GMT): All sites and servers should be available from around 1PM. While no email should be lost we do anticipate some brief email delays, as queued email is now routed to destination servers with NS functional.

The cause of this fault seems to relate to datacentre issues in turn causing the main nameserver to reboot. We are looking into why some users were unable to use ns2 as the failover system.

Update at 13:04:36(GMT): The issue has now been resolved with this server.The fault on our primary nameserver has been corrected. Users should now see issues resolving in due course.

Update at 12:32:37(GMT): We have identified a fault affecting our primary nameserver system. This is causing knock on faults with both email and www systems. This fault should be corrected shortly.

We are currently aware of network wide issues. Engineers are looking into this now.

Description

Update at 13:06:01(GMT): Update at 17:25:47(GMT): The server has been back on-line for a couple of hours now. Our engineers are keeping a close eye on this server. All seems okay following on from a disk check earlier.

Update at 14:17:15(GMT): A final disk check is now ongoing on the server. Once complete we're hoping to bring the server back online.

Update at 11:51:46(GMT): The server is having problems coming back on-line after a reboot. An engineer is on their way to investigate this further.

We are currently investigating into an issue on our business server, business6.34sp.com which has occurred since last nights maintenance. This will be affecting all services for sites on this server.
