Update at 14:21:11(GMT): The issue has now been resolved with this server. As suspected, this was a packet flood aimed at a server on our network. We are looking into why this happened and hope to avoid it happening in future. As it was from an external source, this isn't as simple as removing an account on a server or similar.

Update at 10:39:48(BST): The issue has now been resolved with this server.Engineers have now tracked this down to a configuration file entry with an incorrect value on one server. This has been updated and SMTP services are now working correctly.
For the sake of clarity, although yesterdays hardware failure on VPS 26 as detailed below has now been resolved, there has been a knock on effect with SMTP authentication for some (though not all) BusinessVPS users. Due to the changeable nature if this issue, we have so far been unable to replicate it.
If you are experiencing problems sending mail and you are on a business level account, we recommend either altering your outgoing mail server to smtp.34sp.com OR using webmail for the time being. We will update this status once engineers have identified and resolved the authentication bug.
