Atmail IMAP/POP & Webmail Issues (webmail.34sp.com)

resolved

Description

Atmail now appears to be working well again and we are confidant that the problem has been rectified in the short term.

In the long term, more machines will soon be added to the mailstore cluster to further improve performance and minimise the impact of any future, unforeseen performance issues.

The load on the mailstore has dropped significantly and we expect that many users will be finding that e-mail is slowly returning to service.

There is currently a very, very high load present on our mail store systems that feed Atmail, the Spam Filtering (Professional hosting mainly) e-mail system.

We are working on returning this service to full working order as soon as we possibly can. Please check back here for more information, as support operatives are currently experiencing a very high volume of inquiries.

SMTP (Sending e-mail) Issues (smtp.34sp.com)

resolved

Description

The SMTP servers are operating correctly, however the authentication database had a short outage which in certain cases will have stalled the SMTP connections.

Users are advised to simply restart their e-mail clients, which should clear the connection cache and restore functionality.

Should this fail, please also try restarting your entire computer, this should fix the error.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are currently aware of issues with sending emails.
Our engineers are working on this now. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Prohost 3 Issues (prohost3.34sp.com)

resolved

Description

We're happy that this issue is now resolved.

We believe that we've found the problem with a particular domain, and a particular script.

The owner is being contacted and we are monitoring the situation closely.

Prohost3 is seeing a resurgence of the problems experienced yesterday, which is attributable to large amounts of memory usage by at least one domain on the server.

We're working to resolve this for good, as quickly as possible.
