19:50: Upgrade now complete, all services are back online.

18:00: Our Atmail system is going offline for an emergency update shortly .

This will affect any user with personal spam filtered email, professional email, or email hosted from the Atmail cluster.

Once the update completes you should see a noticeably faster interface and improved reliability.

The server is now back online and all functioning once again

The spares provided by Dell have not solved the problem and more parts for this server are on the way. This will again take up to 4 hours. We will post as soon as we have any more news.

Update 15:50 BST:

The hardware failure has been confirmed and a Dell engineer is en route with spares. This will take up to 4 hours.

A failure has been identified with this server. An engineer is on site and working on solving this as soon as possible. The server is currently indicating a major hardware failure. Updates will be posted as they become available.
