During some routine maintenance of our Mercury storage, approved by our vendors and with them on standby in case of any issues, some of that storage has become unavailable. We are working with our vendors as a matter of urgency to restore access as quickly as possible.
Until access is restored, some users of the Mercury email platform wil be unable to access their emails using webmail or client devices.

We are aware that customers are currently unable to connect to the Mercury mail system. This is due to an issue with the storage system.
Engineers are currently investigating this issue and an update will be posted shortly.

We're currently seeing some unexpected failures on this server. This is affecting everything hosted on the server. Email should be unaffected.
The faults have been happening through the day and we've identified a faulty memory module.
A new part has been ordered and should be with us Thursday 26th. We expect to have this in place on the server ASAP to resolve the failures.
In the interim the server availability may be intermittent.

Out of hours planned maintenance on the hosts will be occurring on Monday 19th and Wednesday 21st of June. There is currently expected to be minimal to no downtime but some containers maybe briefly unresponsive, while some services are restarted.

We have just renewed our SSL certificate and this is in the process of being rolled out to all incoming and outgoing mail servers. Users who are connecting via mail.YOUR-DOMAIN.COM and smtp.YOUR-DOMAIN.COM may well find their mail program now reports a certificate mismatch (where YOUR-DOMAIN.COM is your actual domain name).
Users can either view the certificate and tell their mail program to permanently accept the mismatch, or preferably change the server name in their mail programs to the following:
INCOMING
mail.34sp.com (for Mercury users)
webmail.34sp.com (for atmail users)
OUTGOING
smtp.34sp.com
If you are unsure as to which mail system you are on, please visit http://webmail.YOUR-DOMAIN.com. If it looks the same as https://webmail.34sp.com you are on atmail. If it looks like https://mail.34sp.com you are on Mercury.

A switch on our network has failed. An engineer is en route to the datacentre to replace the failed switch and service will be restored when that process is complete. We expect this to happen within the next two hours and will post another update in one hour.
